Skien Dyreklinikk joins AniCura

Press release

AniCura, one of Europe’s leading providers of high-quality veterinary care for companion animals, acquires Skien Dyreklinikk. The partnership with AniCura means new opportunities for the clinic within areas such as knowledge sharing, veterinary development and a better ability to invest in further growth.

Skien Dyreklinikk was founded in 1977 and every year attends to ca 5 500 patients from the whole of Telemark County. The clinic's premises are optimized for veterinary practice and recent investments include a new laboratory and modern medical equipment. In addition to running outpatient operations the clinic maintains high quality in surgical procedures, dentistry, dermatology and internal medicine. The clinic puts great emphasis on training for all its members of staff, both in Norway and abroad.

Since the current team took over the practice two years ago customer numbers have soared. The veterinary clinic is centrally located and easily accessible in an expanding area in Telemark where there are good opportunities for further growth.

– In the long term we will have to expand further and we are always seeking ways to improve. So for us, choosing AniCura as a partner was easy. They believe in us, and becoming part of their major networks feels as though we are embarking on an incredibly exciting journey. We believe in what AniCura stands for, their values and professionalism and we look forward to gaining benefit from knowledge sharing and the group structure. Being part of AniCura is a hallmark of quality for us. We already refer patients to other AniCura animal clinics, so this is a natural progression, says Camilla Aschehoug Krogsrud, Practice Manager at Skien Dyreklinikk and a qualified specialist in behavioural psychology.

– We warmly welcome Skien Dyreklinikk to the AniCura family and are looking forward to assist in their strong development. The clinic combines international experience with the systematic development of expertise and a high level of service that customers clearly appreciate. Together with our other clinics in the area, they will make a strong team that will safeguard a comprehensive range of veterinary services to pet owners in Telemark and the surrounding region, says Øyvind Johnsen Brøgger, Business Area Manager at AniCura Norway.
