Kleintierklinik am Hochberg in Germany joins AniCura

Press release

AniCura, one of Europe’s leading providers of high-quality veterinary care for companion animals, acquires Kleintierklinik am Hochberg in Ravensburg in Upper Swabia. The acquisition expands AniCura’s geographic offering of advanced veterinary care and provides Kleintierklinik am Hochberg with additional opportunities to continue its growth and development towards a more innovative and well established specialised veterinary care.

Kleintierklinik am Hochberg, now AniCura Kleintierspezialisten Ravensburg, was founded in 2010 and employs 40 members of staff of which 16 are veterinarians. The clinic, together with its two practices, Kleintierpraxis Meckenbeuren and Kleintierpraxis Bad Wurzach, attends to more than 20 000 patients per year, of which approximately one third are referred from other veterinary clinics and practices. The team is highly experienced and specialised within the fields of surgery, diagnostic imaging, cardiology, gastro-enterology, endocrinology and dentistry.

Purpose-built in 2010, the 800 square meter clinic facilities are well suited to the needs of advanced veterinary care, in the form of a fully equipped laboratory, modern technology for diagnostic imaging, including CT (Computed Tomography) and heart ultrasound, along with devices for advanced orthopaedic procedures and neurosurgery. The building also contains wards for hospitalised patients and a separate isolation unit.

─ By joining AniCura we achieve excellent opportunities for knowledge exchange and sharing of best practices in a broad network with many veterinary specialists, as well as to be able to move forward technologically, says Dr Ulrich Göggerle, co-founder of Kleintierklinik am Hochberg.

─ From now on we can benefit from highly professional support in all areas including quality management, procurement and IT. We are thrilled to join forces with AniCura and to contribute to the development of outstanding veterinary care in Germany and the rest of Europe, says Thomas Rieker, co-founder of Kleintierklinik am Hochberg.

─ We are very happy to welcome Kleintierklinik am Hochberg to our European veterinary family. With a mind-set and passion for cooperation and improvement, I am convinced that we together will continue to develop the small animal veterinary care industry and provide an inspiring work environment for ambitious and committed veterinary professionals, says Peter Dahlberg, Group CEO AniCura.
