AniCura works to create better animal health in collaboration with the Swedish National Veterinary Institute (SVA).
The project, which is run by SVA, SLU and Svensk Djursjukvård (the Swedish veterinary association) was begun in October, with the aim of establishing a veterinary database (Naveda). The objective is to gather and store medical journal data from the nation's animal clinics and animal hospitals. The goal is better animal welfare, veterinary care and public health.
"The goal is based on getting animal clinics from around the country to voluntarily share their anonymized medical journal data and transfer it to the new database in real time. The long-term goal is to create better conditions for research and disease monitoring."
The idea is for the database, with its capabilities, to lead to improved animal welfare, veterinary care and public health.
