ACUTE PHASE PROTEINS - WHAT THEY ARE AND HOW TO USE THEM

This is a live webinar where Josefine Öberg will guide us through what acute phase proteins are and how to use them in in the everyday clinical setting. 

LECTURER
Josefine Öberg, Leg vet, Dipl ECVCP. Josefine graduated 1997, became a specialist in small animals 2002 and took her exam as clinical pathologist 2013. Since then Josefine has been working at several large animal hospitals in Sweden. At AniCura she has been the head veterinarian at Bagarmossen small animal Hospital in Stockholm and held values training for AniCura personnel. Josefine is a highly appreciated lecturer and we are sure that it will be a really nice setting having Josefine teaching us in a digital format.  

The webinar will be assisted by Lisen Schortz, Master in Medical Science working as Group Medical Development Manager.

TARGET GROUP OCH COURSE LANGUAGE 
The target group for the webinar are veterinarians, nurses and basically any clinic personnel that think this subject is interesting. The webinar will be held in english. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After the webinar the participants will have an understanding for:

  • What acute phase proteins (APP) are
  • When to use APP to complement the clinical investigation
  • How to interpret APP results
  • Which APP that is important for which species 
  • How the analytical method works 

PROGRAMME
The webinar is approximately 2 hours long depending in the amount of questions. Josefine will guide us trough a theoretical session and then move on to  review of cases and interpretations of those.
