The aim of this course is to introduce Point Of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) to veterinarians and nurses wanting to know more about this diagnostic procedure and learn how to start using it.
POCUS is a rapid, non-invasive, bedside, diagnostic image modality which is not only limited to veterinarians! The binary mindset (yes/no) is a key aspect of POCUS and when combined with clinical evaluation, it will support diagnostic work-up with all patients. From the dyspneic cat that won’t survive the trip to radiology, to the dog that has oedematous legs making intravascular access impossible.
"Point Of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) for veterinarians and nurses” is a course designed to help the entire team performing an urgent ultrasound. This two-half-day course is designed to get you started with ultrasound as part of your daily workflow. This course can be taken by someone who has never used an ultrasound probe before or someone who does conventional ultrasound already. The course language is English
Accreditation for specialist programmes and national credit points can be requested by contacting the programme director well in advance. An accreditation can not be promised.
