The aim of this course is to introduce Point Of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) to veterinarians and nurses wanting to know more about this diagnostic procedure and learn how to start using it.
POCUS is a rapid, non-invasive, bedside, diagnostic image modality which is not only limited to veterinarians! The binary mindset (yes/no) is a key aspect of POCUS and when combined with clinical evaluation, it will support diagnostic work-up with all patients. From the dyspneic cat that won’t survive the trip to radiology, to the dog that has oedematous legs making intravascular access impossible.
