1. Get to know each other
The first step is to get to know each other. What does your individual situation look like, what is important to you and what are your plans for the future? We also want you to become familiar with AniCura; who we are and what we stand for.
We always recommend taking references on us from other veterinary professionals that are part of AniCura. If you want us to, we can provide references and contacts.
It is important to us that you get a fair and honest impression of our culture, the benefits of AniCura and what it is like to be part of the AniCura family. Do we fit your own values, philosophy and ambitions?
Once you are confident that AniCura would be the right partner for you and your clinic, we are ready to move on to discuss valuation. Ready to contact us? - contact link
"AniCura is professional and the right partner for us when it comes to extending our collaborations and enhancing our skills"
Christopher Martinsen, founder of Veterinärmottagningen in Näsum and Bromölla
2. Receive a proposal
At this stage, we exchange information to prepare a valuation proposal for your clinic. You provide us with additional background on your clinic, the team, future aspirations and the financial situation. AniCura develops a proposal that is tailored to your specific needs. We typically agree around the main points in a letter of intent, which outlines the conditions under which we intend to co-operate.
3. Complete the acquisition process
In this phase, we perform a due diligence, during which your operational, financial and legal situation is reviewed. We agree on relevant contracts and once these contracts are finalized, we sign them and the transaction is completed.
"We share the same fundamental approach to quality care and service and we felt AniCura understood our practice and vision"
Annika Anderini, Practice Manager, AniCura Djursjukhuset Jägarvallen
4. Join the network
Congratulations! You have successfully joined a major European veterinary movement with a unique culture and capabilities.
So, what changes?
As AniCura only acquires well-functioning clinics and work as a partner together with the clinic management. We tailor our support depending on the needs and preferences of each clinic. However, our experience and track record since our foundation in 2011 paints a clear picture; clinics that become part of AniCura develop rapidly in the AniCura family.
Each practice manager continues to assume full responsibility for managing his/her clinic and takes the decisions that are in the clinic’s best interest. Employment contracts for all employees continue with the clinic as before.
The clinic’s location, its customers and team remain unchanged. Referrals continue to the preferred partners, irrespective if they are inside or outside of AniCura.
Step by step the clinic becomes more familiar with the AniCura support functions and how to maximise the value of the capabilities within the AniCura family.
